Snowfall and road conditions in Nasu Kogen in winter (December to March)

Grand Mercure Nasu Highlands Resort & Spa is located on the middle of Nasu Kogen at an altitude of about 630 meters.
Nasu Kogen has a large difference in altitude depending on the area.

• Near Nasu Ropeway Sanroku Station: Approx. 1,400 meters

Then, as the altitude rises, the temperature drops, and it is easier to snow in winter (from December to March).
Especially from January to February, there is a lot of snowfall and snowfall, and in the morning and evening, it is a time when road surface freezes due to coldness are likely to occur.

When coming by car, we recommend wearing a studless tire or tire chain.
